My mother always told me hard work never hurts anyone. As a matter of fact, quite the contrary. The combination of hard work and the return of real estate in east Fort Lauderdale have made for a great first quarter of 2014. I obtained my real estate license in 2005, right before the market crash. I was one of the few new agents who made it through to today. All the result of hard work. I also branched out to the property management field. This enabled me to stay afloat, and here I remain, moving forward. Today, with inventory still very low, properties are selling, new construction is popping up all over town, there are bidding wars on properties and sales are often closed at list price or highest and best. I recently sold a Lauderdale Harbors property over list price and had it under contract the first week. It was a cash transaction. A recent Victoria Park new construction sold at list price, another cash deal. One of these units is still available - beautiful contemporary design and priced well for the area. Another Victoria Park listing went under contract yesterday. Full list price and another cash transaction. A preview of my new inventory coming on includes a plot of land in east Oakland Park. It will be marketed to developers of residential condos or Townhouses. I anticipate selling this quickly as land in this area is limited. Location, location, location. Both my property management company and my real estate business are thriving. 2014 will be my best year yet. As mom said, hard work never hurts anyone.
